Today, the team at Clean360 brings you, the homeowner, some great tips on cleaning during these uncertain times. As a Commercial Cleaning Company we fully recognise the importance of staying safe at home in the first instance.
Take a look;
For any homeowner, one of the most challenging aspects of the COVID-19 outbreak is how it forces you to look at your home cleaning habits. Many of us have our own little recipes for home-made cleaning solutions that we use. We also tend to have our own little techniques and patterns for how we go about cleaning the whole place down. And while that can be plenty of fun, in a crisis like this Coronavirus outbreak we need to make sure we have everything covered. Everything.
That’s why we recommend you try work-in these five useful cleaning tips during the COVID-19 outbreak.
Clean every high traffic area thoroughly
Studies so far believe that the COVID-19 virus can live on a surface such as stainless steel or plastic for as long as three days. So, it’s vital that you clean down any traffic substances that get a lot of human contact. Focus on things like worktops, kitchen doors, door handles, and various other surfaces. You should be looking to take this very seriously, starting with the busiest areas.
Make the use of gloves
Make a wise investment and buy some disposable gloves. You can wear these as you clean around the home and get rid of them before you do anything else. We also recommend looking to get some disposable cleaning items, such as wipes and sponges. You can use these for a specific purpose and then dispose of them when you are finished. Gloves, though, are a vital part of home cleaning during COVID-19 to avoid transmission.
Use at least 70% alcohol
When cleaning down any surface, make sure you are using a cleaning substance with at least 70% alcohol. 70% of alcohol is a very high level cleaning substance, and it should be strong enough to make sure you can go about the cleaning process and get rid of the COVID-19 living on your tables and other surfaces.
With 70% alcohol in warm water, you should have enough strength to kill-off the contagion on any surface.
Don’t be blasé about packages
With most of us having to use packages via delivery to get essential items at home, it’s vital that you aren’t blasé about packages. Studies suggest that this virus can live for as long as 24 hours on cardboard. So, make sure that you spend as much time as you can preparing to handle boxes. Ask delivery drivers to leave the box on the floor if you can and pick it up wearing disposable gloves. Then, dispose of the packaging and the gloves.
Get into a consistent washing routine
While studies are still being done on just how long COVID-19 could live on our clothes, consistent and regular washing is going to become essential. If you are just back from shopping or from being outdoors, make sure you clean your hands thoroughly and then put all clothing you were wearing in for a wash. Use the warmest possible water temperature that you can without damaging the clothes, and then dry them out completely.
Stick to the above and getting a sure handle on the COVID-19 crisis should become a touch easier for you moving forward. For commercial cleaning tips, please speak to our experts.
